Listening to: After School - Ah

Haven't been posting in a while! I'll just make a brief summary of the events during my absence before i post up vids of the parody of kkotboda namja [aka boys over flowers/hana yori dango/meteor garden].

Events following JJ Night [and I just remembered I owe Ken a detailed post about it]
1. Started violin lessons

Pretty eh? :))

2. Went to IMM with Sarah

There was an event for shoppers whereby the first 20 to queue up at the mystery place [indicated by the woman holding the board] get to take part in a the lucky dip!

Sarah and I got 5th and 6th place! Shit. So auntie right? XD

3. A level results

Don't talk about it. :/ No pictures anyway 'cause it was a depressing day.

4. Continued with work

View from one of the lunch places at Boat Quay. Gina [a temp staff 1 year older who was an ex-JJsian] and I got a $10+ set lunch which came with homemade tomato soup, garlic bread, and main course [6+ choices].

A Christian cafe at the top floor of OUB centre which sells kickass tomyam soup!

It's not spicy when you down the first spoonful of soup and glass noodles. The first taste which hits you is the sourness. I have no idea what they added to make it so sour, but I don't think it's just lime. The dish consists of squid, tomato, mushrooms, lime leaves, and rice/glass noodles up to you to choose. I think they added lemongrass too. But anyway, as you down more spoonfuls, the spiciness gets to you and you'll find yourself ordering a milk bubbletea to extinguish the flames. I advise you to bring a few packets of tissue if you decide to try it. :))

Another one-of-the-better-foods-available would be the beef stew pot pie from rocky master at Chevron House.

A new dessert at Delifrance at Chevron House again. It's a custard-like pudding with caramel syrup [which tasted like maple syrup actually], garnished with white chocolate and strawberries. It's okay I think. But they left out the whipped cream!! ARGH.

This is supposed to be the real thing from the poster outside Delifrance.

Taken from the huge window at Burger King. There was this pamphlet which said one could win a prize if he/she takes a photo of this bus and send it to number. Basically they're promoting this "Best Job in the World" - Island Caretaker. The bottomline is: You do a slack job and get easy money. Looks like a job for aspiring Robinson Crusoes since the island's uninhabited. No wireless internet. No shops.

Oh wells, this is my desk. The shelf is actually from Sarah's birthday gift as shown below:

A bottle of barcardi green apple!

And this is the box she put it in.

Pile of work.

PIle of papers to be archived.

Another pile of papers to be archived.

In short, I'm like a saikung warrior. Those who haven't heard that term before, it means shit-job victim.

5. Went prawning with Sin Hoe, Xin Jie, and Zhihui

Xin Jie who got the rods. Actually Sin Hoe's in the photo. He's directly behind Xin Jie but because the latter suddenly turned around and walked back, he completely [and coincidentally] blocked Sin Hoe. LOL.

The Chinese Garden prawn farm. See that man on the right? Everyone eventually adopted this pose unconsciously while fishing. XD

The second prawn, but without pincers. The first one which bit my bait was a "BOSS" prawn but because I panicked, the prawn slammed against the pond wall and flew back into the water. It was like a scenario where a level 1 no-class newb meets a balrog for the first time because of some joker who used the summoning bag. =X

Oh yeah. Zhihui is a new friend! :)) She works at The Arcade which is really near my ex-workplace, but I kept forgetting to ask her out for lunch.

Well no photos of the ones with pincers because they were much more active; each time they waved their pincers, the whole image became blurred. GRR.

But anyway, here's an advice for starters. DON'T go to Farmart at Choa Chu Kang because the prawns there are very cunning! The ones at Chinese Garden are much dumber!

6. Went for beach outing with the Hatters

Grocery shopping :))

Monorail station

Group photo at the tram stand [From top-left clockwise: Dinka, Shoppa, Blurra, Devillea, Kookie, ehithinkwedidntgivesarahaname]

The missus and her two maids on the tram =X

Beach Games!

I <3 camwhoring.

Wet hair

2/3 Histies. Ack. Grace pang sehed yet again... :/

The otakus. XD

Shade photography.

Girl talk :))

Feet fetish.

After bath

TIRING DAY, but fun fun fun! It was great to see the Hatters again [though I've seen Sarah almost everyday in JJ] but somehow we're never complete. :/ All because of Grace the pang-seher. Hmph. XD

7. Went for movie with OG8 [actually about less than half]

Me and Ser Hui!

Idiot Samuel's hand blocking me! Now why did I say 'idiot' twice...?

Collar's so nice to chew on...

Group photo! Ruth left earlier before dinner so she's not in the photo... :/

HI-5.

Sin Hoe seems to be zapping me or something... O.o

BLOCKED!

Finally a not-so-blurred shot of me after much effort! =D

8. Ended work! Woohooooooo~~!

Pile of papers to be shredded!! :O

9. Bought a camera with my last pay and g-masked it [summarised 2 days into 1]

I bargained with the salesman to give me a mini tripod, screen wiper, and screen protector. Heh.

The finished product, with 7 crystals. Yes i'm obsessed with the number 7. My mobile and house numbers have more than 3 7s! My mom's office and mobile numbers have more than 3 7s too! Guess it's a gene thing. XD

10. Went to Marche with Nilawan, Ken, and Yan Long

Nilawan and I starved all the way until 8+pm. Because of Ken and Yan Long who were LATE. Okay not entirely the former's fault because he claimed to be waiting for the latter. Apparently his fencing competition dragged on. Cannot complain so much because he's an acquaintance. Met him for the first time because Nilawan did't know who else to ask along so she anyhow called people, then coincidentally this friend of hers is in the same platoon as Ken, so I guess we're second-degree friends in Friendster terms.

I think Yan Long looks like a China person come to think of it. But I can be nice and say he looks like Gong Yoo. NOT Lee Jun Ki. OMG. No one is fit to look like my precious LJK okay?

In any case, my good reputation was ruined by Nilawan and Ken!! ARGH!! I'm so angelic can? Look at my name!

Me and Nilawan grand-slammed into the Marche wall.

Oh wells, the day ended with... An incomplete but currently bleak analysis. =X

11. Bought assessment books for my nephew

I went to Jurong Point quite recently to order a cake for my mom's birthday, and at the same time buy assessment books for my nephew. UNFORTUNATELY, the website misstated the address of the bakery and hence I couldn't order anything. So I headed over to Popular, and was utterly shocked at the number of assessment books for Primary 1s!! Kids these days are leading a hard life. Made me recall the good old times where my mom used to throw my assessments books everywhere like UFOs because I got 1 wrong out of like 20 questions. I don't miss the stress. I'm lucky to have passed that stage surprisingly quickly. :))

Anyway, choosing the books was an almost impossible feat. I had to find his textbooks from another shelf first, which was tediously because... There're more than one kind of textbook!! Why must they print so many kinds?! Just make the textbook industry a monopoly so that people like me will have a easier time! I mean seriously. Does the government think companies will compete with each other and bring about R&D?!

So I passed the textbook obstacle. Next hurdle was to choose assessment books for EACH subject. Finding the Chinese books was easy because Singaporeans can't really be bothered to print Chinese. Alot of ink wasted, and pretty much no demand.

MATH AND ENGLISH BOOKS ARE HORRIBLE. I initially thought it was just one full shelf of books [which already made me want to think twice about this mission], until I looked to my side and found TABLES of more books!! I felt my face morph into that scream mask. For math there were various books with almost the same content, but boasted of different "effective" teaching methods. For english there were 4-in-1 and "specialised" books which covered comprehension, cloze passage, grammar, and vocabulary. Now I know what my mom went through last time. =X

How did I choose in the end? I just grabbed any book from the top shelf, and paid up at the cashier. Hee.

12. YESTERDAY. Happy birthday mama! I splurged 100+ bucks on a champagne color dress for her present, and ended up with no money to get her cake. In the end I loaned a few bucks from her to pay for it. XD

13. TODAY. I'm going to give my nephew tuition-torture. MUAHAHAHA.

Wish the poor boy luck!

Listening to: I Don't Care - Fall Out Boy

This blog is dead. Nevertheless, I'll summarise my life so far throughout these past 2 months I've been away.

1. I started work on 2nd January, Friday. There's another temp [female] who's a year older - a JJ senior who retook A'Levels. I figured I wouldn't want to retake the whole bloody exam again, and decided I shall go over to Canada/Melbourne to study since I have people I know there. And then, I realised a problem. MONEY.

2. Ken smsed some time during my working hours. He mentioned something about the release of A'Levels. I won't do well. Even if I pray for a miracle, I KNOW it won't happen. Why? 'Cause I really screwed up my papers. Thing is, even though I already expect my results to be shit lousy, would I still cry when I look at my results? Perhaps I will. But I'll try my best to suppress it until I reach home. Hell am I going to burst out wailing in JJC. :/

3. I went cycling with Ser Hui, Sin Hoe, and Samuel. Yes, all S-es. =X Why so few? Because Kee Seng was suddenly mia-ed. Xin Jie was stuck cleaning his house. Ruth was buying ingredients for reunion dinner and had to be back by 5pm (it was 3pm then). But oh wells, it was still fun. I made Sam realise tandem bikes rock in speed because it's like 2 people's energy on 2 wheels. We cycled from East Coast to Changi and that's quite remarkable because... It's 30km back-and-forth and we accomplished the task in 2 hours because it was rent 1 hour and get 1 hour free. =X But you all out there should really try cycling that route because the scenery along the way isn't Singaporish at all! It makes you feel like you're at some countryside. When I go there again, I'll post up photos/videos of the route. =D

4. I started watching Naruto again. I'm currently at episode 20 of shippuden where Gaara got taken by Deidara's bird. Okay, that sounds wrong. =X

3. I hate my job. I work long hours for only a miserable pittance of money. How long is 'long'? 12 hours from 9am-9pm. For $6.50 an hour. Gosh. It's still money anyway. But it's nothing to boast about. The only thing worth mentioning is it's at the UOB building at raffles place. And no, I'm not a cleaner.

4. People have been calling from army, taking away the few precious minutes of my break time. I don't mind. Just that my phone's battery hates me. I talk for about 3 hours, and it'll show 1 bar left for the rest of the journey home. If got robber, how? :/

5. The Fall Out Boy concert was held on 10 Feb at Singapore Indoor Stadium. I wanted to go, but people don't want because it's $78 per ticket. Around 12 hours worth of work.

6. I hate money. But I have to love it because without money, it's pathetic even if you're doing something for free.

7. Hana Yori Dango Korean Version is not bad. But I just lost the craze for Korean stuff.

8. I'm a no-lifer. So is Sarah. We went to IMM yesterday to shop. There was this pain-in-the-ass China cleaner who kept railing at us because we ordered our food so late, and was rushing us to finish our meals. Should've took a photo of him and send it to STOMP or something. :/

9. JJ NIGHT (aka valentine's day eve)!! I spent 5 hours preparing all the cookies for Adeline, Bernard, How Sun, Nilawan, Ruth, Sam, Serhui, Xian Liang, and Xin Jie. I thought Sin Hoe wasn't coming since he had some matters but he unexpectedly came after JJ night, lol. In any case, it was supposed to yield 48 pieces, but in the end, I had about 100+ of them!! But oh wells, it means everyone can have more. :)) Well since it was JJ night, the mass dance partner matters ALOT. Okay, not that alot. I danced with my ex-liked person and... Well it wasn't so bad. Just that he was moving me here and there because I forgot almost all the dance steps, like a stuffed animal. Ack. Okay, no. I will NOT go back to my previous... Person? Well whether I go back or not doesn't really matter since my reputation's ruined anyway. :/ I saw Nilawan with Charles (and her other PAE friends). They're very different in height. =X

10. Tomorrow is VALENTINE'S DAY. Going to the beach to cycle and watch the sunset according to Dinky. I can't cycle. Hopefully I can leech off someone. =D

Listening to: Nothing

This is so cool! XD

In any case, I just watched Twillight. My reaction?

Whaaaat...? In a very T_T way.

After all the fuss and buzz about the movie, blah blah blah, the ending is like... that? I almost choked, puked blood, and died when the credits suddenly flashed across the screen. Reason? What about the other womanvampirekillerwhateveryoucallit? Aye. I think the book is MUCH better. It's supposed to be anyway. In any case, do NOT watch Twilight in a cinema. I recommend buying the whole DVD series (once everything's out), gather a bunch of people, and watch it in the comfort of someone else's house (preferably with a huge flatscreen telly). Well it's kind of a lot of cleaning-up to do if it's at your own place. =X

Okay. Moving on to waste my time on better movies with acceptable endings.

Listening to: My Way - Rain

Nothing beats doing a job test (after a bad morning of a pained butt and being informed an hour before the test of the latter) with an old version of Microsoft Office in Windows'97 when you're using Microsoft Office 2008 in Apple OSX. What I'm desperately praying for now? For the other candidates to be serious computer retards.

Oh wells, Sarah is back with many Christmas presents! Shall meet her earlier so that I can get to choose among the many, and at the same time go to the gym. I'M ACCUMULATING FATS!

And... A happy belated birthday to Radinka!! I'm 9 das late but oh wells, better late than never right? =D
